For my project I tried to add onto my research about cryptocurrency with a professional internship. I interned with some partners at the local branch of a major Wall Street firm over the 6 weeks of senior project. For them, I did everything from portfolio analysis and research to data entry and stock selection. Towards the end of my internship, I took some of my new knowledge and experience around investments and did some analysis of cryptocurrency from an investment perspective. I created an analysis on paper and created a presentation on cryptocurrency investment factors that I pitched to some of the partners I was interning with.

I chose the topic of cryptocurrency because I was interested in finance and technology, and senior project began at a time that cryptocurrency was blowing up, so it was very relevant. I wanted to do an internship for my project because I wanted to experience what it would be like to really work in the financial sector, and to see what professional financiers thought of cryptocurrency.
